Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Monsie. These Terms and Conditions govern the tutoring services provided by Monsie. By booking lessons with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
Monsie provides personalised tuition for:
- Primary (KS1–KS2)
- 11+ Preparation
- SATs Preparation
- GCSE Maths
- GCSE Science
- Homework Support
- Catch-up Tuition
- Exam Revision
- Summer Tuition
Lessons are available online and face to face, subject to availability.
2. Initial Consultation
We offer a free initial consultation to discuss the student’s needs and determine the most appropriate learning plan.
3. Lesson Bookings
Lessons are booked by mutual agreement.
Regular weekly bookings are recommended but not compulsory.
4. Fees
Lesson fees will be agreed before tuition begins.
Payment must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Invoices must be paid by the stated due date.
5. Cancellation Policy
Parents or students should provide at least 48 hours’ notice if a lesson needs to be cancelled.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
If Monsie needs to cancel a lesson, an alternative session or full refund will be offered.
6. Late Arrival
If a student arrives late, the lesson will finish at the scheduled time.
If the tutor is delayed, the full lesson time will be provided where possible.
7. Online Lessons
Students are responsible for ensuring they have:
- A suitable internet connection
- A quiet learning environment
- Access to the required software
- A charged device
Monsie cannot be held responsible for technical issues outside our control.
8. Face-to-Face Tuition
Parents should ensure a safe and suitable learning environment.
An adult aged 18 or over should be present within the property during lessons for students under 18.
9. Homework
Homework may be provided to reinforce learning.
Students are encouraged to complete all assigned work before their next lesson.
10. Progress
Regular feedback and progress updates will be provided.
While we strive to help every student achieve their potential, academic success depends upon attendance, effort, independent study and other factors beyond our control.
Therefore, Monsie cannot guarantee specific grades or examination results.
11. Safeguarding
All tutors hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Safeguarding is a priority, and any concerns may be dealt with in accordance with UK safeguarding guidance and legal obligations.
12. Confidentiality
Information shared during tutoring will remain confidential unless disclosure is required by law or safeguarding obligations.
13. Intellectual Property
All teaching materials produced by Monsie remain our intellectual property.
Resources are provided for the student’s personal educational use only and must not be copied, distributed or sold without permission.
14. Website Use
Content on the Monsie website is provided for general information only.
Users may not copy or reproduce website content without written permission.
15. Limitation of Liability
Monsie shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our tutoring services.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant tutoring services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
